PHUKET, THAILAND – JULY 2019 – Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa announces the appointment of Brad Edman as General Manager at Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa and Multi-Property Vice President – Phuket effective 29 July 2019. In this new role, he will be responsible for Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa while overseeing Marriott International’s eight additional resorts in Phuket and Phang Nga, including a number of planned openings.
Brad has 23 years of experience with Marriott, including multiple operations positions and two Area Director of Sales & Marketing roles with responsibility and expertise across 11 countries. He was based in the Mumbai office for four years before moving to lead the Bangkok Area Sales & Marketing office, where he spent more than four years.
In 2014, Brad successfully opened the Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak where he was awarded the Asia Pacific General Manager of the Year and the Global Diamond General Manager Award. In 2017, he opened the Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa, a halo opening that put the brand on the map in Indonesia.
Brad graduated with his Master of Business Administration from Southern Cross University in Australia this year and was formerly the Chairman of the Marriott International Indonesian Business Council. He is a keen golfer and commits much of his time to children’s foundations.
