PHUKET, 7 October 2019 – Kata Rocks’ Collective Series 16 (CS16) returned last weekend for a fun filled ‘Mamma Mia! – The Party Edition’ extravaganza that produced an epic throwback tribute to one of the world’s most popular musical acts.
Set by Kata Rocks’ iconic infinity pool with its phenomenal sunset view, the resort’s talented team of mixologists joined Dibuk House’ head bartender Phongsathorn ‘Wynn’ Chaokitiwut – the second runner-up at Diageo World Class Thailand 2018 – to create four signature CS16 ‘Mama Mia’ inspired Special drinkss: ‘Super Trouper’, ‘I Have a Dream’, ‘PS as Always – Mamma Mia!’ and ‘Voulez-Vous’.
Each were created to compliment the evening’s culinary offerings that featured an impressive selection of gourmet canapés.
Kata Rocks’ event team once again produced a warm, fun party that unfolded during the evening. The theatrical staging took place around guests as the evening magically transformed into a 1970s disco, with dancers surprising the crowd with a flash mob and multiple numbers that encouraged guests to sing and dance along.
Resident DJ Wii played iconic tracks such as Gimme Gimme, Mamma Mia Here We Go Again, Dancing Queen, and Voulez-Vous along with remixes of other award-winning ABBA hits that had guests singing and shaking right up until last call.
Kata Rocks’ Collective Series demonstrated once again why it is Phuket’s most innovative, and fun party, having created its own fresh identity that celebrates outstanding cuisine and handcrafted drinks. Watch this space for future Collective Series events coming soon.
